With many clients completing forms via fax and internet, I thought it would be helpful to highlight some common forms in a way that the client can get the same explanation and instruction as they would if they were sitting face to face with me.  I can't stress enough that each form should be read carefully and entirely before signing.

It is in your best interest to be absolutely truthful when completing this form.  Read each item and check each box individually.  Do not draw a line straight down the column.  If the item doesn't exist, check N/A.

Mandatory Watering Restrictions

Assigned watering groups are mandatory for all customers. Running your sprinkler irrigation system outside your assigned days is water waste and may result in a water-waste fee or citation.

Drip irrigation

Watering restrictions also apply to drip irrigation. Experts agree that running drip irrigation less frequently is much better for plants than daily watering. Because deep watering is more important than frequency, SNWA recommends a single, long drip cycle of 30 to 90 minutes. See our drip watering tips for details.

Additional restrictions

• Sprinkler irrigation is prohibited between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. from May 1 through Sept. 30.
• Sunday is not an optional watering day during the fall, winter and spring (Sept. 1 through April 30).

Exemptions

Exceptions to current watering restrictions include hand-watering, supervised sprinkler system testing and watering new or reseeded landscapes for 30 days. Some water agencies have special requirements to obtain the exemption. Contact your water utility for details.

Summerlin Art Festival

The eighth annual Summerlin Art Festival features two events in one: La Strada dell’Arte, a Summerlin street painting festival adopted from Italian tradition, and Celebration of the Arts, an outdoor art festival featuring more than 125 artists and craftsmen from throughout the southwestern United States. Part of the fun is watching artists of all ages transform the Summerlin Centre Community Park into an outdoor gallery of colorful art, using the park sidewalks as their canvas. Peruse and buy the works of talented artisans featuring their collections of hand-made, one-of-a-kind creations, including paintings, glasswork, pottery, jewelry, metalwork, sculpture, mixed media, wearing apparel, hand-made soaps, handcrafted dolls and woodcrafts. The event includes a full entertainment line-up with performances, live music, food art displays and ice carving demonstrations, children’s activities, living statues and roving entertainers. A wide variety of food and beverage will be available for purchase.
